Do I need to hire a 'local' web site designer?
Fortunately the use of email and telephones does make it possible for us to design you a web site even if you aren't geographically close by. Having said that, our idea of working as part of the local community is somewhat based on our desire to be available to meet with our clients if possible. Of course if you believe in our approach and are comfortable communicating through email and the telephone then if you want to work with us then we want to work with you.
How long does it take to have a web site designed?
This is determined by the number of pages that you need, how complex your web site is in terms of functionality and design, the time you have available to participate in the development of your web site and our current design timetable.
How much does a web site cost?
The cost of a website varies, depending upon the type of site you require. Some of the factors that are going to affect the ultimate cost of your web site include how many pages you are going to have, if you will sell products on your website, the graphic work involved, and how interactive your future web site will be. Each site has to be treated on it's individual requirements, but that doesn't mean that a custom design with your unique content needs has to cost a lot. It just means we need to talk it through to come up with your cost.
Is a deposit required?
We ask for a 30% deposit for all standard sites and 50% for larger projects - examples of this could include sites with administrative access or database driven sites. The balance of payment is then due on completion of the project.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Payment can be made by cheque or by using Payal. We will discuss what is most suitable for you at the time we initiate your web development project.
What support do you offer after the completion of my web site project?
For the first month we are happy to take care of any slight tweaks or amendments at no additional cost. Any revisions after that are done at our hourly charge rate of $30. If you are interested in arranging on-going web site support, also known as a site maintenance contract, then please let us know and we will make arrangements on a client-by-client basis.
Will I be found on Google or the other major Search Engines?
This is the number one question people have regarding their web site development. Unfortunately because everyone wants to be in the top results it is extremely competetive and can be very difficult. Factors such as the competetiveness of your industry - and therefore the keywords that people use to search for you - the length of time your web site has been online, how frequently your content changes, the size of your site and the effort that has been put into optimizing your site to be found by the search engines are all very important. If you are interested in knowing more about optimizing your web site please contact us to discuss it further.
